A major local hospital seeks to implement an enterprise wide, $100mil Electronic Medical Record System
The client brought in People Driven Solutions for a one month engagement to address schedule concerns for a critical portion of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) program on an incredibly aggressive, immovable schedule. The team involved over one hundred resources and directly impacted the mission critical operations of both the revenue cycle and clinical areas of the hospital.
PDSI partnered with business and technology leadership within the hospital to not only dig deep on the schedule concern, but also to understand the ‘big picture’. This resulted in a proposed reorganization of the troubled portion of the program, subdividing it into four separate projects with additional Project Management resources assigned.
People Driven Solutions became a trusted advisor to the hospital, gaining a seat on the program steering committee and subsequently assisting not only with program management, but also with vendor management as additional resources were brought to bear on the newly created projects.
People Driven Solutions aggressively coordinated all relevant activities under its purview while productively and proactively collaborating with the program team at large, including multiple vendors. The project went live successfully on schedule; in fact, PDSI was tasked with leading the command center for the go-live and had the honor of bringing the system up!
